Hello! I'm Hannah, the founder and instructor behind Hello Hangul.

I was born and raised in South Korea and have been living in the US for over 25 years. For the past 20 years, I've had the pleasure of teaching Korean language and culture to students from all walks of life.

My teaching experience includes working with students at Johns Hopkins University, the Korean Cultural Center in Washington, D.C., and other educational institutions. Over the years, I've had the privilege of teaching a wide range of learners, including a former U.S. Ambassador to South Korea, government officials, military personnel, students with autism and other learning differences, school-aged children, and adults learning Korean for personal or professional reasons.

I hold a master's degree in International Affairs from American University and have a background in language education, research, and international affairs.

What I enjoy most about teaching is helping students discover that Korean is not as intimidating as it may first seem. I believe that learning a language should be structured and meaningful, but also engaging and enjoyable.
